The Luxury RUV with Custom Graphics for Serious Enthusiasts

The enthusiast who wants substance – and style – can find the perfect match in the Teryx® 750 4x4FI LE Special Graphics Edition. Already gifted with cool extras that are standard equipment, the Teryx LE SGE comes with custom graphics straight from the Kawasaki factory. Two different color variations of the hydro-dipped film overlay graphic will be available with a hot-rod flame pattern that looks hand painted. Each can be ordered through your Kawasaki dealer.

The rest of the package is pure Teryx 750 FI 4×4 LE, a top-shelf RUV renowned for its high level of capability and many upscale luxury touches, which include a cab roof, deflector windshield and retractable cup holder. The original Teryx 750 FI 4×4 LE scored big with journalists and buyers when it debuted several years ago. Over the years it’s been continually refined, receiving digital fuel injection and a host of other upgrades, including an aggressive front end with a hinged, forward-tilting hood for easy maintenance.

For 2012 things are status quo with the LE package, which makes sense for an RUV with this much refinement, performance, and durability. After all, why mess with success?

Power is key when it comes to a performance RUV like the Teryx LE SGE, and when it comes to power, no other RUV can touch this one’s 749cc 90-degree eight-valve V-twin. Not only is this engine plenty powerful down low and higher in its rev range, its 90-degree configuration gives it perfect primary balance for unmatched smoothness at any rpm – and a great exhaust note that sets the Teryx LE SGE apart from lesser RUVs.

Feeding that impressive engine its cocktail of fuel and air is the Teryx LE SGE’s advanced digital fuel injection system. The system offers automatic elevation compensation, automatic idle adjustment and easy, choke-free starting via a sophisticated array of sensors for inlet air pressure, throttle position, crankshaft position, rpm and water temperature. There’s also an ignition cut-out feature that won’t allow the Teryx LE SGE to be driven away when the parking brake is engaged. That braking system technology complements the Teryx LE SGE’s CVT Belt Protection System, which automatically retards ignition timing if the system detects engine operation at high rpm for more than two seconds while the rear wheels are motionless and warns the rider via a flashing belt warning lamp on the dash.

All that electronically enhanced performance is packaged in an advanced chassis narrow enough to navigate most trails (and fit in a standard pickup bed), yet wide enough to offer a roomy cab and a great ride. The wide-track frame uses large-diameter, thin-walled tubing to combine tremendous rigidity with light weight. And the upper frame combines cool style and protection with enough room inside to fit two full-sized adults in a comfortable but supportive pair of bucket seats with retractable three-point seat belts.

Once comfortably buckled in, the rider can choose two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive with the flip of a switch, and Kawasaki’s super-efficient continuously variable transmission takes it from there, taking you practically anywhere you feel like going. A cockpit-adjustable variable front differential control even lets you fine tune front-end traction. And while you’re doing all that, the LE SGE’s half windshield and cab top shield you from the elements, while its retractable cup holders make it easy to grab a refreshing drink on the go.

Long-travel four-wheel independent suspension, adjustable Kayaba gas-charged shocks at all four corners, a rear stabilizer bar and mid-ship engine placement all work together to tame tough trails, while a high-performance long A-arm double-wishbone suspension design that reduces camber changes offers sharp steering at all times. When it’s time to slow down, dual discs up front and a high-tech sealed oil bath brake system in back get the job done with power to spare, while Kawasaki Engine Braking Control uses clever electronics to assist with engine braking while driving down hills. Specially designed 26-inch Maxxis tires custom-built for the Teryx LE SGE’s design characteristics are the final ingredient in its amazingly potent handling package.

All in all, this top-line RUV does it all – and does it with custom graphics to boot.

A large selection of authentic Kawasaki Accessories are available through Kawasaki dealers for the 2012 Teryx 750 FI 4×4 LE. As with all off-highway vehicle recreation, Kawasaki encourages RUV drivers to drive responsibly and to respect the environment.

The Premium Hot Rod RUV with Maximum Performance

Bumpy desert two-tracks. Rutted fire roads. Unpredictable backwoods trails. These are the native habitats of the Teryx® 750 FI 4×4 Sport, the hot rod of the Kawasaki Teryx recreation utility vehicle lineup. With its lightweight alloy wheels controlled by high-end, gas-charged shocks, the Teryx offers a superior level of wheel and chassis control, even through rough terrain. That control translates into more four-wheeling fun.

The Teryx Sport’s piggyback-reservoir shocks are fully adjustable for spring preload, compression damping and rebound damping, meaning that riders can get the most out of this advanced suspension by tuning it to their desired settings. Shocks on all four wheels make quick work of rugged terrain.

Durable and reliable power is the name of the RUV game, and nobody can touch the Teryx Sport’s 749cc 90-degree 8-valve V-twin. This engine is not only plenty powerful, its also supremely smooth thanks to the 90-degree configuration’s perfect primary balance. This design offers unmatched smoothness at any rpm – and a great exhaust note that sets the Teryx apart from lesser RUVs. A robust cooling system with a large cooling fan and a large diameter hose make the engine even more reliable.

The Teryx’s high-end suspension units are easy to appreciate even when you’re not moving. The aluminum-bodied gas-charged piggyback-reservoir shocks are fully adjustable for spring preload, compression damping and rebound damping for maximum tunability and control of its lightweight aluminum wheels. Each wheel is a whopping two pounds lighter a standard Teryx wheel, and this 8-pound difference in unsprung weight is easy to feel at speed.

The Teryx Sport’s advanced digital fuel-injection system includes functions for automatic elevation compensation, automatic idle adjustment and easy, choke-free starting via a sophisticated array of sensors for inlet air pressure, throttle position, crankshaft position, rpm, water temperature and a vehicle down sensor. There’s also an ignition cut-out, which won’t allow the Teryx Sport to be ridden away when the parking brake is engaged. This braking system technology complements the Teryx’s CVT Belt Protection System, which, among other good things, automatically retards ignition timing if the system detects engine operation at high rpm for more than two seconds while the rear wheels are motionless (i.e., the belt is slipping), and warns the rider via a flashing belt warning lamp on the dash.

All that electronically enhanced performance is perfectly packaged within an advanced chassis that’s narrow enough to navigate the gnarliest trails (and fit in a standard pickup bed), yet wide enough to offer a roomy cab and an excellent ride. The wide-track design frame uses large-diameter, thin-walled tubing to combine tremendous rigidity with light weight. And the upper frame adds great looks and protection, while providing enough room inside to fit two full-sized adults in a comfortable but supportive pair of bucket seats with retractable three-point seat belts.

Once comfortably strapped in, the rider can choose 2WD or 4WD with the flip of a switch, and Kawasaki’s super-efficient continuously variable transmission takes it from there, to practically anywhere you feel like going. A cockpit-adjustable variable front differential control even lets you fine-tune front-end traction.

Long-travel independent suspension, those fully adjustable gas-charged shocks at all four corners, a rear stabilizer bar and mid-ship engine placement all work together to tame tough trails, while a high-performance long A-arm double-wishbone suspension design reduces camber changes for sharp steering at all times. When it’s time to slow down, dual discs up front and a high-tech sealed oil-bath braking unit out back get the job done with power to spare, while Kawasaki Engine Braking Control uses clever electronics to assist with engine braking when driving down hills. Custom 26-inch Maxxis tires designed for the Teryx’s characteristics are the final ingredient in its amazingly potent handling package.

A large selection of authentic Kawasaki Accessories are available through Kawasaki dealers for the 2012 Teryx 750 FI 4×4 Sport RUV. As with all off-highway vehicle recreation, Kawasaki encourages RUV drivers to drive responsibly and to respect the environment.

Luxury and Stealth

Now the outdoor enthusiast who wants both the luxury of a fully equipped recreation utility vehicle and the stealth offered by camouflage can get the best of both worlds with Kawasaki’s Teryx™®750 FI 4×4 LE Camo. This RUV is endowed with a coating of high-tech Realtree® APG™ HD® – an innovative pattern that helps the Teryx meld into a wooded environment.

The Teryx 750 FI 4×4 LE has been the leading RUV since its introduction, with its outstanding performance, comfort and technology. The addition of Realtree APG HD graphics on the Camo model’s bodywork, wheels, bumper, roof and dash makes the Teryx even more appealing. Luxury extras that are sure to please even seasoned hunters include a deflector windscreen, protective cab roof and retractable cup holders. The rest of the package includes a high-tech liquid-cooled V-twin engine surrounded by an advanced chassis with sport-focused suspension.

The original Teryx 750 FI 4×4 LE bested the competition immediately after its introduction a few years ago, scoring big with journalists and buyers all over America. Receiving continual improvements since its introduction, including digital fuel injection, a forward-tilting hood, and a better cooling system, among other refinements, the Teryx RUV continues to be at the top of its class.

Power is key when it comes to a performance RUV like the Teryx LE Camo, and when it comes to power, no other RUV can touch this one’s 749cc 90-degree 8-valve V-twin. Not only is this engine plenty powerful down low and higher in its rev range, its 90-degree configuration gives it perfect primary balance for unmatched smoothness at any rpm—and a great exhaust note that sets the Teryx LE Camo apart from lesser RUVs.

Feeding that impressive engine its cocktail of fuel and air is the Teryx LE Camo’s advanced digital fuel-injection system. The system offers automatic elevation compensation, automatic idle adjustment and easy, choke-free starting via a sophisticated array of sensors for inlet air pressure, throttle position, crankshaft position, rpm, water temperature and a vehicle down sensor. There’s also an ignition cut-out feature that won’t allow the Teryx Camo to be ridden away when the parking brake is engaged. That new braking system technology complements the Teryx’s CVT Belt Protection System, which automatically retards ignition timing if the system detects engine operation at high rpm for more than two seconds while the rear wheels are motionless (i.e., the belt is slipping) and warns the rider via a flashing belt warning lamp on the dash.

All that electronically enhanced performance is packaged in an advanced chassis narrow enough to navigate most trails (and fit in a standard pickup bed), yet wide enough to offer a roomy cab and a great ride. The wide-track design frame uses large-diameter, thin-walled tubing to combine tremendous rigidity with light weight. And the upper frame combines cool style and protection with enough room inside to fit two full-sized adults in a comfortable but supportive pair of bucket seats with retractable three-point seat belts.

Once comfortably buckled in, the rider can choose 2WD or 4WD with the flip of a switch, and Kawasaki’s super-efficient continuously variable transmission takes it from there, taking you practically anywhere you feel like going. A cockpit-adjustable variable front differential control even lets you fine-tune front-end traction. And while you’re doing all that, the Camo’s half windshield and cab top shield you from the elements, while its retractable cup holders make it easy to grab a refreshing drink on the go.

When it’s time to slow down, dual discs up front and a high-tech sealed oil-bath brake system in back get the job done with power to spare, while Kawasaki Engine Braking Control uses clever electronics to assist with engine braking while driving down hills.

Specially designed 26-inch Maxxis tires custom-built for the Teryx LE Camo’s design characteristics are the final ingredient in its amazingly potent handling package.

The end result is an amazingly capable machine for outdoorsmen of all stripes. And when it comes to beating mother nature, capability is the name of the game.

A large selection of authentic Kawasaki Accessories are available through Kawasaki dealers for the 2012 Teryx 750 FI 4×4 LE Camo. As with all off-highway vehicle recreation, Kawasaki encourages RUV drivers to drive responsibly and to respect the environment.

The Leading RUV Goes Deluxe

Take the industry’s leading V-twin-powered recreation utility vehicle, enhance it with serious luxury extras, and you have the Teryx™ 750 FI 4×4 LE. This deluxe Teryx includes a cab roof, deflector windshield, a retractable cup holder and high quality, automotive-style paint.

Receiving continual improvements since its introduction, including digital fuel injection, a forward-tilting hood, and a better cooling system, among other refinements, the Teryx RUV continues to be at the top of its class.

Power is key when it comes to a performance RUV like the Teryx LE, and when it comes to power, no other RUV can touch this one’s 749cc 90-degree 8-valve V-twin. Not only is this engine plenty powerful down low and higher in its rev range, its 90-degree configuration gives it perfect primary balance for unmatched smoothness at any rpm—and a great exhaust note that sets the Teryx LE apart from lesser RUVs.

All in all, this one does it all – and does it in style.

The Versatile, Reliable RUV for Work or Play

With its wide range of capabilties, the Teryx® 750 FI 4×4 recreation utility vehicle is the perfect companion for work and play. Work chores highlight the Teryx engine’s class-leading power and torque, while riders will appreciate the enhanced throttle response and optimal performance of the digital fuel injection (DFI®) as they blast down local trails. The fun, reliable Teryx proves to be a gratifying ride.

The Teryx’s smooth, fuel-injected 749cc V-twin engine produces a prodigious amount of torque, while its digital fuel injection system automatically adjusts to match changing conditions. And its sport-tuned wide-body chassis offers a wide track that helps provide a stable ride, but still allows the RUV to fit into a standard pickup bed.

Durable and reliable power is the name of the RUV game, and nobody can touch the Teryx’s 749cc 90-degree 8-valve V-twin. This engine is not only plenty powerful, it’s also supremely smooth thanks to the 90-degree configuration’s perfect primary balance. This design offers unmatched smoothness at any rpm – and a great exhaust note that sets the Teryx apart from lesser RUVs. Cooling system mods made last year – a larger cooling fan for more airflow and a larger diameter hose for more coolant flow – make the engine even more reliable.

The Teryx’s advanced digital fuel-injection system includes functions for automatic altitude compensation, automatic idle adjustment and easy, choke-free starting via a sophisticated array of sensors for inlet air pressure, throttle position, crankshaft position, rpm, water temperature and a vehicle down sensor. Also, an ignition cut-out won’t allow the Teryx to be ridden away when the parking brake is engaged. The clever braking system protection complements the Teryx’s CVT Belt Protection System, which, among other good things, automatically retards ignition timing if the system detects engine operation at high rpm for more than two seconds while the rear wheels are motionless (i.e., the belt is slipping), and warns the rider via a flashing belt warning lamp on the dash.

All that electronically enhanced performance is packaged within an advanced chassis that’s narrow enough to navigate most trails (and fit in a standard pickup bed), yet wide enough to offer a roomy cab and an excellent ride. The wide-track design frame uses large-diameter, thin-walled tubing to combine tremendous rigidity with light weight. The upper frame adds roll-over protection, and there’s enough room inside to fit two full-sized adults in a comfortable but supportive pair of bucket seats with retractable three-point seat belts.

Once comfortably strapped in, the rider can choose 2WD or 4WD with the flip of a switch, and Kawasaki’s super-efficient continuously variable transmission takes it from there, taking you practically anywhere you want to go. A cockpit-adjustable variable front differential control even lets you fine-tune front-end traction for slick or tricky terrain.

Long-travel four-wheel independent suspension, adjustable Kayaba gas-charged shocks at all four corners, a rear stabilizer bar and mid-ship engine placement all work together to tame tough trails, with a high-performance long A-arm double-wishbone suspension design that reduces camber changes for sharp steering and excellent wheel control at all times. When it’s time to slow down, dual discs up front and a high-tech sealed oil-bath braking unit out back get the job done with power to spare, while Kawasaki Engine Braking Control uses clever electronics to assist with engine braking while driving down hills. Specially designed 26-inch Maxxis tires designed specifically for the Teryx are the final ingredient in its amazingly agile and stable handling characteristics.

A large selection of authentic Kawasaki Accessories are available through Kawasaki dealers for the 2012 Teryx 750 FI 4×4. As with all off-highway vehicle recreation, Kawasaki encourages RUV drivers to drive responsibly and to respect the environment.

2012 KAWASAKI TERYX4™ 750 4×4 EPS CAMO

The Industry’s Most Capable Four-Seat RUV, and a Hunting Crew’s Best Friend

There’s little doubt: Kawasaki’s all-new Teryx4 750 4×4 is the best possible vehicle for transporting a group of outdoorsmen – and their gear – to that far-off campsite. Its size, carrying capacity, range, durability and amazing performance make the statement a no-brainer.

But with its radically curvy bodywork smothered with a coating of Realtree® APG™ HD® camouflage, the Teryx4 turns into something else entirely: the world’s pre-eminent hunting-oriented RUV.

It’s true: Kawasaki’s all-new 2012 Teryx4 750 4×4 Realtree APG HD has everything a hunter – and their sportsman friends – could want, especially when it comes to stealth, the unit’s Realtree camouflage accurately mimicking the look of a woodlands area. The camo treatment makes this hunting-oriented Teryx4 blend in like no other RUV in existence, allowing a hunting crew to get where it’s going without attracting attention.

Of course, being built on the Teryx4 EPS platform means the unit also includes all the EPS model’s features, including the amazing Electric Power Steering system that make both slow and fast riding such an easy, confident affair.

Go on… Hop into the Realtree-spec Teryx4 750 4×4 EPS’s cockpit, buckle up, hit the starter and mash the accelerator. As you feel yourself pushed into the comfortable high-back bucket seat, you revel in the Teryx4’s ultra-light steering, the control it affords, and the lack of steering kickback as you tackle a rutted trail with 3 outdoorsman buddies strapped in nearby, each of them grinning like kids.

The Realtree-spec Teryx4 is a perfect combination of performance and ease-of-operation: Its additional seats mean you can take extra buddies along for the hunt (or transport extra help out to the work site). And with the EPS system’s light, low-effort steering, the ride there and back – on fast trails and in tighter situations – is exceptionally comfortable and easy.

The idea to build a four-seat Teryx wasn’t difficult to conceive. But actually building it correctly was – which is why Kawasaki engineers spent more than a year testing and formulating to determine exactly how the new 4-seater would be comprised. Instead of simply bolting extra seats to a standard Teryx’s platform and enlarging the cockpit, engineers redesigned the unit from tip to tail, with an all-new chassis and a thoroughly reworked V-twin engine pumping out extra power for the additional loads the Teryx4 will gladly carry.

The foundation of any top-tier RUV four-wheeler – especially one with four seats and significant carrying capacity – is its frame, so Kawasaki engineers used detailed computer analysis and loads of off-road testing when developing the Teryx4’s all-new square-tube steel frame. Unlike the more conventional designs found on many lighter-duty two-seat RUV models, the Teryx4 features a Double-X frame design with two X-shaped cross members bridging the box structures from corner to corner.

Like the frame, the Teryx4’s 749cc V-twin four-stroke engine is also new, offering 15 percent more power than the already stout unit in the two-seat Teryx, along with all the durability to deal with the rigors of spirited fun in challenging off-road environments. The V-twin design is revered for its stump-pulling power and easy-to-harness flexibility, which makes it the perfect powerplant for a machine like the Teryx4, which thrives on instantaneous and controllable low- and mid-range response partnered with eye-opening hauling ability. In fact, engineers purposely gave the big Vee a bit of a dual personality: there’s exciting, arm-straightening yank when driven solo or with a single passenger, but plenty of torque and grunt for carrying more people or heavier loads – much of it due to revised camshaft profiles and equal-length exhaust headers.

Liquid cooling – assisted by a large-volume radiator and large-diameter fan – keeps temperatures down and reliability up with help from an array of superb engineering: optimized piston-wall thickness; special surface treatments to piston pins, small and big end bearing surfaces; idealized crank journal bearing sizes; robust transmission design; and much more.

Electronic fuel injection – featuring new fine-atomizing 12-hole injectors – offers easy starts and perfect throttle response at sea level and at the higher elevations you’ll want to discover again and again. The FI system offers automatic mixture compensation, automatic idle adjustment and easy, choke-free starting via a sophisticated array of sensors for inlet air pressure, throttle position, crankshaft position, rpm and coolant temperature.

Routing all that impressive and usable power to the wheels – and ground – is the latest in modern drivetrain technology: a continuously variable transmission (CVT), a category-first centrifugal clutch assembly and an electrically selectable 4WD system featuring instant-switch access to 2WD, 4WD and 4WD+Front Differential Lock system. The CVT is well known for its quick response and direct engine “feel” in sportier riding situations, where engine power is used to control the chassis while turning and in rough conditions. The key to the Teryx4’s dual-mode personality is its category-first centrifugal clutch, which offers an extra degree of precision slow-speed power manipulation and smoothness, which is ideal for tricky terrain (rock crawls, etc.) or slow-speed work where precise throttle manipulation is key. The oil-bathed clutch design also contributes to improved CVT belt life by lessening shock and belt deflection.

The electronic 4WD system allows drivers to easily change between three different drive modes for most situations they find themselves in: 2WD (light steering) for maximum sporty performance, 4WD for enhanced traction while keeping steering relatively light, and 4WD+Differential Lock for maximum traction situations. A dash-mounted switch makes switching between these modes easy, and changes occur instantaneously so the driver remains in complete control at all times. So whether it’s climbing a slippery and rocky uphill trail, negotiating a wet stream bed, hauling lumber for fixing fences on the farm, or hauling butt down a wide-open two-track, the Teryx4’s got the traction and drivetrain mode to handle it.

It also offers the easiest, lowest-effort and most precise steering characteristics in all of 4-wheeling thanks to Kawasaki’s Electric Power Steering (EPS) system. EPS offers additional stability on straights, especially on rougher surfaces, and there’s also less steering kickback and bump-steer in tougher going. Low-speed handling and steering ease are improved, too, which makes tricky situations and low-speed work much easier to deal with. The key to the Teryx4 EPS’s light-steering nirvana comes from the same basic system used on Kawasaki’s award-winning Mule – a Showa-built system that eschews a traditional power-steering pump so there’s no drain on engine power. Also, the system only works when the engine is running, so there’s no battery drain. Input from vehicle speed and torque sensors determine the amount of steering assistance – more during slow speed use, and less as speeds increase, just like a good sports car.

All this superb handling ability is aided by a number of factors, including a wide-track/wide-body chassis design that contributes to superb cornering characteristics. A wide track resists the body roll that accompanies cornering forces, and helps the chassis cope with rough terrain at speed. The Teryx4’s mid-ship engine placement also helps by centralizing the vehicle’s center of mass and minimizing the inertia that accompanies direction changes.

Of course, sport-focused independent suspension helps, and the Teryx4’s got plenty. Again, engineers opted for a dual-mode design; that is, the suspension works in a comfortable way with four passengers aboard, but also performs like a sporting RUV in a solo mode or with a single passenger. It’s a difficult combination to get right, but high-grade componentry helps out. Up front are high-performance single-chamber gas-charged and preload-adjustable shocks complemented by an anti-roll bar, which allows an ideal front/rear roll balance and added ride comfort. In back are fully adjustable shocks with piggyback reservoirs, which offer additional oil flow for cooler temperatures and more stable damping performance.

With all this speed and handling potential, excellent brakes are a must, and the Teryx4 delivers in a big way. High-performance hydraulic discs up front using 200mm rotors gripped by dual-piston calipers offer exceptional feel and stopping power. The brakes are recessed within the wheels, protecting them from dirt, water and debris, while durable steel-braided lines help keep lever feel crisp and progressive. In back is Kawasaki’s unique sealed internal wet brake, similar in design to the highly acclaimed disc system used on our award-winning ATVs and two-seater Teryx models. Internal components are completely sealed from mud, water, dust and debris, the result being ultra-reliable braking performance in most conditions. The combination of powerful discs up front and the sealed system in back is ideal, and contributes once again to the Teryx4’s wide-ranging overall performance.

Large 26-inch Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 tires are the largest available in the RUV category, and offer the type of ride comfort, control and traction you’d expect from an RUV this capable in so many different environments. Their tread and carcass design help maximize forward traction while at the same time optimizing control for aggressive cornering.

The Teryx4’s unique chassis dimensions help in the areas of turning, climbing and working, too. Its relatively short (compared to other four-seat RUVs) 86.1-inch wheelbase affords it a surprisingly small 16.7-foot turning radius, which makes tight turns an easy affair on trails or in tight spaces. The unit’s substantial ground clearance (10.8 inches) helps keep it from bottoming when cresting a ridge or rolling an obstacle, while high approach and departure angles (79 and 65 degrees, respectively) thanks to minimal bodywork overhang reduce the possibility of smacking the front bumper when approaching a steep slope or scraping the tail when exiting one.

The Teryx4 EPS Camo excels at all sorts of 9-to-5 or leisure-oriented jobs, too, from hauling to transportation to towing, from small jobs to really big ones. Its 250-pound-capacity cargo hold is sizeable, measuring 18 by 48 inches, with an 8.5-inch depth. The flat-bottomed space is big enough for a large cooler, spare fuel cans or other large objects, and four tie-down loops help secure cargo safely. The rear wall is shorter in the center, which makes it easier to load and remove items. Towing capacity is a staggering 1,300 pounds.

Convenience features include DC sockets – one in front, another in back – providing a total of 120 watts of electrical power, while nearly 8 gallons of fuel capacity offer substantial range, enough for a long day of work or trekking. There’s a drink holder for each of the four seats, while an auto-style parking brake activates the sealed rear brake setup, to aid parking even on a slope. Getting at the front suspension, coolant reservoir, air filter and electrical equipment is easy thanks to an easy-open front hood, which is part of a body package that’s stylish, rugged and rugged-looking.

Those powerful and purposeful good looks start up front, with a stylish hood, beefy steel front guard, headlamp and fender design that gives the Teryx4 a no-nonsense look that says “sporty” and “functional” in the same breath. Standard doors front and rear are easy to use, look good, and offer a level of mud protection. Scratch-resistant bodywork and textured paint on the ROPS framework and front guard help keep the Teryx4 looking good for a good long time, too.

You’ll enjoy riding in the Teryx4 EPS for a good long time, too, because it’s the most comfortable RUV in its class by far. Its roomy interior gives driver and passengers room to spread out, with plenty of hip, shoulder and legroom. High-backed bucket seats and three-point seatbelts offer a high degree of comfortable security, while urethane cushioning and cold-resistant elastic seat material provide all-day plushness. The adjustable front seats offer three positions in one-inch increments, while the back seats are mounted slightly higher than those in front to give passengers a better view forward and an easier time getting in and out. Handholds integrated into the frame give passengers extra security, while comfort mounts and an anti-cinch feature on the seatbelts helps prevent over-tightening when the belts lock during sudden deceleration (or when the tilt sensor is activated). Helping ensure riders wear their seatbelts is a handy seat-belt use reminder light, which remains lit if the driver’s belt isn’t buckled.

Instrumentation is top-notch, and includes a multi-function electronic display that provides a ton of useful information: Speedometer, fuel gauge, odometer and hour meter, clock, dual trip meters, 2WD/4WD indicator, front differential indicator light, parking indicator, water temp and fuel injection warning indicators, reverse indicator light, etc. – everything you need to know.

Power. Comfort. Convenience. Hauling and towing ability. Reliability. Four wheels. Four seats. The riding ease and comfort of electric power steering. And the hunting-oriented stealth of Realtree APG HD graphics. The Teryx4 may be the ultimate outdoorsman’s RUV. But Kawasaki’s camo model has it beat when the hunt’s on.

A large selection of authentic Kawasaki Accessories are available through Kawasaki dealers for the 2012 Teryx4 750 4×4 EPS Camo. As with all off-highway vehicle recreation, Kawasaki encourages RUV drivers to drive responsibly and to respect the environment.

2012 KAWASAKI TERYX4™ 750 4×4 EPS LE

Features, Comfort and Class: The Industry’s Most Luxurious RUV Has It All, and More

If your idea of a truly top-of-the-line Rec/Utility vehicle includes luxury and convenience features piled on top of what’s already the most capable, fun and functional RUV in the business, you’d be describing Kawasaki’s 2012 Teryx4™ 750 4×4 EPS LE.

With the Luxury Edition (LE) Teryx4, we’ve outfitted the latest and best RUV in the industry with special features that give it a bit more comfort and cool factor. They include beautifully machined, 12-spoke cast aluminum wheels that are lighter than the steel wheels they replace, and a cab roof/sun top that protects driver and passengers from weather and sun, maximizing the comfort factor and adding a bit of aesthetic appeal in the process.

The Teryx4 LE is a perfect mixture of all that’s good in Teryx/RUV-land: Top-shelf features, the highest possible engine and chassis performance, and a high degree of easy operation. Its additional seats mean you can take extra friends along for the ride (or transport them out to the cabin). And with the Electric Power Steering (EPS) system’s light, low-effort steering, the ride there and back – on fast trails and in tighter situations – is exceptionally comfortable and easy.

Hop into the 2012 Teryx4 750 4×4 EPS LE’s cockpit, buckle up, hit the starter and mash the accelerator. As you feel yourself pushed into the comfortable high-back bucket seat, you revel in the EPS LE’s ultra-light steering, the sublime control it affords, and the lack of steering kickback as you tackle a rutted trail with three passengers strapped in nearby, each of them grinning like kids.

The idea to build a top-of-the-line four-seat Teryx wasn’t difficult to conceive. But actually building it correctly was – which is why Kawasaki engineers spent more than a year testing and formulating to determine exactly how the new four-seater would be comprised. Instead of simply bolting extra seats to a standard Teryx’s platform and enlarging the cockpit, engineers redesigned the LE from tip to tail, with an all-new chassis and a thoroughly reworked V-twin engine pumping out extra power for the additional loads the Teryx4 750 EPS LE will gladly carry.

Like the frame, the Teryx4’s 749cc V-twin four-stroke engine is also new, offering approximately 15 percent more power than the already stout unit in the two-seat Teryx, along with all the durability to deal with the rigors of spirited fun in challenging off-road environments.

Routing all that impressive and usable power to the LE’s lightweight aluminum wheels is the latest in modern drivetrain technology: a continuously variable transmission (CVT), a category-first centrifugal clutch assembly and an electrically selectable 4WD system featuring instant-switch access to 2WD, 4WD and 4WD+Front Differential Lock system.

The key to the Teryx4 LE’s light-steering nirvana comes from the same basic system used on Kawasaki’s award-winning Mule – a Showa-built system that eschews a traditional power-steering pump so there’s no drain on engine power.

Up front are high-performance fully adjustable gas-charged “piggyback” reservoir shocks.

The Teryx4 LE’s unique chassis dimensions help in the areas of turning, climbing and working, too. Its relatively short (compared to other four-seat RUVs) 86.1-inch wheelbase affords it a surprisingly small 16.7-foot turning radius, which allows tight turns on trails or in tight spaces.

Did someone mention work? The Teryx4 excels at all sorts of 9-to-5 or leisure-oriented jobs, from hauling to transportation to towing, from small jobs to really big ones.

You’ll enjoy riding in the Teryx4 LE for a good long time, too, because it’s the most comfortable RUV in its class by far. Handholds integrated into the frame give passengers extra security, while comfort mounts and an anti-cinch feature on the seatbelts helps prevent over-tightening when the belts lock on deceleration (or when the tilt sensor is activated). Helping ensure riders wear their seatbelts is a handy seat-belt use reminder light, which remains lit if the driver’s belt isn’t buckled.

The LE’s Instrumentation is top-notch, as you’d expect, and includes a multi-function electronic display that provides a ton of useful information: Speedometer, fuel gauge, odometer and hour meter, clock, dual trip meters, 2WD/4WD indicator, front differential indicator light, parking brake indicator, water temp and fuel injection warning indicators, reverse indicator light, etc. – everything you need to know.

It’s all there: Power. Comfort. Convenience. Hauling and towing ability. Reliability. Four wheels. Four seats. A protective cab roof. And the riding ease and comfort of Electric Power Steering. Our Teryx4 models set new standards for function and fun. The LE version’s luxury features make it that much more special.

A large selection of authentic Kawasaki Accessories are available through Kawasaki dealers for the 2012 Teryx4 750 4×4 EPS LE. As with all off-highway vehicle recreation, Kawasaki encourages RUV drivers to drive responsibly and to respect the environment.

2012 KAWASAKI TERYX4™ 750 4×4 EPS

Room for Four Plus the Convenience and Control of Electric Power Steering

Separately, Kawasaki’s all-new four-seat Teryx4™ 750 4×4 Recreation Utility Vehicle and the renowned Electric Power Steering (EPS) system – which has wowed fans of Kawasaki’s Mule and ATV models – are superb examples of modern technology.

Combined, they are much more than simply the sum of their parts.

Hop into the 2012 Teryx4 750 4×4 EPS’s cockpit, buckle up, hit the starter and mash the accelerator. As you feel yourself pushed into the comfortable high-back bucket seat, you revel in the Teryx4’s ultra-light steering, the sublime control it affords, and the lack of steering kickback as you tackle a rutted trail with three passengers strapped in nearby, each of them grinning like kids with freshly unwrapped popsicles in their hands.

The Teryx4 750 4×4 EPS is a perfect combination of performance and ease of operation: Its additional seats mean you can take extra friends along for the ride (or transport extra help out to the work site). And with the EPS system’s light, low-effort steering, the ride there and back – on fast trails and in tight situations – is exceptionally comfortable and easy.

The idea to build a four-seat Teryx wasn’t difficult to conceive. But actually building it correctly was – which is why Kawasaki engineers spent more than a year testing and formulating to determine exactly how the new four-seater would be comprised.

It also offers the easiest, lowest-effort and most precise steering characteristics in all of four-wheeling thanks to Kawasaki’s Electric Power Steering (EPS) system. EPS offers additional damping on straights, especially on rougher surfaces, and there’s also less steering kickback and bump-steer in tougher going. Low-speed handling and steering ease are improved, too, which makes tricky situations and low-speed work much easier to deal with. The key to the Teryx4’s light-steering nirvana comes from the same basic system used on Kawasaki’s award-winning Mule – a Showa-built system that eschews a traditional power-steering pump so there’s no drain on engine power. Also, the system only works when the engine is running, so there’s no battery drain. Input from vehicle speed and torque sensors determine the amount of steering assistance – more during slow-speed use, and less as speeds increase, just like a good sports car.

Up front are high-performance gas-charged, fully adjustable reservoir shocks.

Large 26-inch Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 tires are the largest yet available in the RUV category, and offer the type of ride comfort, control and traction you’d expect from an RUV this capable in so many different environments. Their tread and carcass design help maximize forward traction while at the same time optimizing control for aggressive cornering.

The Teryx4’s unique chassis dimensions help in the areas of turning, climbing and working, too. Its relatively short (compared to other four-seat RUVs) 86.1-inch wheelbase affords it a surprisingly small 16.7-foot turning radius, which makes tight turns an easy affair on trails or in cramped spaces.

Did someone mention work? The Teryx4 excels at all sorts of 9-to-5 or leisure-oriented jobs, from hauling to transportation to towing, from small jobs to really big ones.

Scratch-resistant bodywork and textured paint on the ROPS framework and front guard help keep the Teryx4 EPS looking good for a long time, too.

You’ll enjoy riding in the Teryx4 EPS for a good long time, too, because it’s the most comfortable RUV in its class by far. Its roomy interior gives driver and passengers room to spread out, with plenty of hip, shoulder and legroom. High-backed bucket seats and three-point seatbelts offer a high degree of comfort, while urethane cushioning and cold-resistant elastic seat material provide all-day plushness.

Instrumentation is top-notch, and includes a multi-function electronic display that provides a ton of useful information: Speedometer, fuel gauge, odometer and hour meter, clock, dual trip meters, 2WD/4WD indicator, front differential indicator light, parking brake indicator, water temp and fuel injection warning indicators, reverse indicator light, etc. – everything you need to know.

Power. Comfort. Convenience. Hauling and towing ability. Reliability. Four wheels. Four seats. And the riding ease and comfort of Electric Power Steering. Our Teryx model line has always excelled in a wide range of environments. But this year, all that fun and function is even easier to access.

2012 KAWASAKI TERYX4™ 750 4×4

All the Performance, Style, Function and Fun You Expect from a Teryx 750 4×4 – with Room for Four!

Twice as much of a good thing is always better, right? Absolutely. So you knew Kawasaki would eventually double the Teryx’s substantial fun and function factor by adding two seats – enough for more friends, extra help or the whole family.

The result is the all-new 2012 Teryx4™ 750 4×4 – a top-of-the-line four-seat RUV with truly amazing capabilities.

Of course, Kawasaki didn’t just bolt two extra seats to the Teryx 750’s chassis and call it a day. Engineers figured out exactly what was needed to do the four-seat Rec/Utility concept right, redesigning the entire machine from tip to tail with an all-new chassis and a thoroughly reworked V-twin engine pumping out extra power for the additional load the Teryx4 will gladly carry.

Like the frame, the Teryx4’s 749cc V-twin four-stroke engine is also new, offering 15 percent more power than the already stout unit in the 2-seat Teryx, along with all the durability to deal with the rigors of spirited fun in challenging off-road environments. The V-twin design is revered for its stump-pulling power and easy-to-harness flexibility, which makes it the perfect powerplant for a machine like the Teryx4, which thrives on instantaneous and controllable low- and mid-range response partnered with eye-opening hauling ability. In fact, engineers purposely gave the big Vee a bit of a dual personality: there’s exciting, arm-straightening yank when ridden solo or with a single passenger, but plenty of torque and grunt for carrying more people or heavier loads – much of it due to revised camshaft profiles and equal-length exhaust headers.

The Teryx4’s 90-degree V-twin engine is also super-smooth, its perfect primary balance keeping things comfortable for driver and passengers all ride long.

Up front are high-performance single-chamber gas-charged and preload-adjustable shocks.

Its relatively short (compared to other four-seat RUVs) 85.7-inch wheelbase affords it a surprisingly small 16.7-foot turning radius, which makes tight turns an easy affair on trails or in tight spaces.

Did someone mention work? The Teryx4 excels at all sorts of 9-to-5 or leisure-oriented jobs, from hauling to transportation to towing, from small jobs to really big ones.

You’ll enjoy riding in the Teryx4 for a good long time, too, because it’s the most comfortable RUV in its class by far. Its roomy interior gives driver and passengers room to spread out, with plenty of hip, shoulder and legroom. High-backed bucket seats and three-point seatbelts offer a high degree of comfortable security, while urethane cushioning and cold-resistant elastic seat material provide all-day plushness.
Power. Comfort. Convenience. Hauling and towing ability. Reliability. Four wheels. And now, four seats. Our Teryx model line has always been a pinnacle of off-road fun and function. And for 2012, there’s twice as much to like about it.

A large selection of authentic Kawasaki Accessories is available through Kawasaki dealers for the 2012 Teryx4 750 4×4. As with all off-highway vehicle recreation, Kawasaki encourages RUV drivers to drive responsibly and to respect the environment.

Hardworking, Reliable Performance

The Prairie® 360 4×4 ATV is versatile leader in the mid-sized category that ably mixes work and R&R. Whether the day calls for serious chore duty or a serious amount of fun, this solid ATV can handle the job. Its torquey and dependable single-cylinder engine, Kawasaki Automatic Powerdrive System with engine brake control and variable locking front differential control all combine to give users the power and control they look for in an ATV.

The Prairie 360 features a 362cc engine with a continuously variable transmission with high, low and reverse gears. The MacPherson strut front suspension and preload adjustable rear shock handle suspension duties. And shaft drive means minimal maintenance.

If additional traction is needed, the rider can send power to all four wheels at the flip of a switch. A limited-slip front differential helps keep steering light and precise, even in four-wheel drive. In extreme conditions, the rider can use Kawasaki’s Variable Front Differential Control lever to send power to both front wheels. Once maximum traction is no longer needed, the rider simply releases the lever – a simple and effective system.

Stopping power on the Prairie 360 4×4 is provided by a combination of dual front disc brakes and Kawasaki’s sealed, oil-bathed, multi-disc rear brake system. Further speed control is provided by the Kawasaki Engine Brake Control, which uses engine compression and CVT belt pressure to help slow the ATV under certain conditions.

The MacPherson strut front suspension and a single-shock aluminum swingarm rear suspension give the Prairie 360 4×4 a supple ride with 6.7 and 7.1 inches of travel front and rear, respectively. A large, comfortable saddle and full-sized floorboards with adjustable footpegs further maximize rider comfort.

Its steel front and rear cargo racks can carry a combined weight of 242 pounds. Other conveniences include powerful dual halogen headlights, and a hitch bracket that is standard, permitting the rider to tow 1,100 pounds — the highest towing capacity in its class. Owners can expand the versatility of their Prairie ATV via the extensive line of Authentic Kawasaki Accessories, available through Kawasaki dealers.

As with all off-highway vehicle recreation, Kawasaki encourages ATV riders to ride responsibly and to respect the environment. Kawasaki will pay first-time buyers of a new Kawasaki ATV $100 for completing an ATV rider safety course conducted by the ATV Safety Institute (ASI). Interested consumers can call ASI toll-free at 800-887-2887.
